Important limitations on the use of SafetyMeter's outputs and the extent of our liability.

Version 1.0
Effective 18 May 2026
Last updated 18 May 2026
Important: SafetyMeter outputs are informational and educational. They do not constitute legal, regulatory, financial, medical, or any other form of professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals before making compliance or governance decisions.

1. Informational Purpose Only

All content, assessments, reports, policy documents, and recommendations generated by SafetyMeter (collectively, "Outputs") are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Outputs are intended to help you understand your product's risk landscape and governance posture, not to certify, verify, or guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or standard.

Nothing in SafetyMeter's Outputs constitutes:

  • Legal advice or legal opinion
  • Regulatory compliance certification or approval
  • Financial or investment advice
  • Medical, clinical, or health advice
  • Cybersecurity audit or penetration testing findings
  • Professional advice of any other kind

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While SafetyMeter uses deterministic scoring engines grounded in established frameworks, we make no representation or warranty that Outputs are accurate, complete, current, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose. Outputs reflect the information you provide — if your inputs are incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, your results will be too.

Regulatory frameworks and legal requirements evolve. SafetyMeter's framework mappings reflect standards as understood at the time of last update and may not reflect subsequent amendments, interpretations, or enforcement guidance.

3. AI Limitations

SafetyMeter uses AI (specifically Anthropic's Claude models) to generate narrative enrichment for assessment reports. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain factual errors, hallucinations, or outdated information
  • AI models do not have access to your full organisational context, legal history, or jurisdiction-specific obligations
  • AI-generated policy documents are drafts only and require professional legal review before use
  • No AI system can substitute for the judgement of a qualified professional in your specific context

4. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

You should always engage qualified professionals — including lawyers, compliance officers, data protection officers, cybersecurity experts, and sector-specific advisers — before:

  • Publishing any policy document generated by SafetyMeter
  • Representing your compliance posture to regulators, investors, or the public
  • Making significant product, process, or governance changes based on SafetyMeter recommendations
  • Relying on SafetyMeter Outputs in legal proceedings, regulatory submissions, or contractual disclosures

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trusted Tech Africa, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any:

  • Loss or damage arising from reliance on SafetyMeter Outputs
  • Regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions
  • Business losses, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity
  • Indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages of any kind

This limitation applies regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage, and regardless of the form of action (contract, tort, statute, or otherwise).

6. Third-Party Frameworks

SafetyMeter's assessments reference third-party regulatory frameworks and standards including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, IEEE 7000, and the WEF Digital Safety Typology. These frameworks are the intellectual property of their respective owners. SafetyMeter's reference to these frameworks does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with their publishing organisations.

7. Outputs Do Not Constitute Certification

A SafetyMeter compliance score, readiness level, or assessment report is not a certification, audit finding, or regulatory determination. It may not be presented as evidence of certification or compliance to any regulatory body, standard body, court, or counterparty without independent legal review and explicit qualification of its informational nature.

8. Governing Law

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using SafetyMeter, you accept this Disclaimer and the limitations set out in our Terms of Use.
